hooveround control unit in Cincinnati, Ohio For Sale

disabled older female DESPERATELY searching to find working control unit for a hooveround MPV4 scooter. yes it is old (12 years) but would be operational if I could locate this piece. line was stripped when i attempted to go around construction materials that had been left all over the sidewalk. hooveround wants nearly $2,000. to repair it, which I do not have. they no longer sell new units here for persons on medicare or I would have replaced it when this happened (2 years ago). the "replacement scooter" i could obtain is not meant to be used outdoors, thus leaving me more or less housebound. ANY info would be greatly appreciated. I have been at this without success for two years. m.s. society, st. vincent de paul, goodwill of no help. thanks
