The College of Medicine, Center for Clinical and Translational Science and Training (CCTST) is recruiting for a full:time (100 FTE) Distance Learning Coordinator. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff, and all our activities.
The Distance Learning Coordinator will work closely with faculty to convert existing courses in the Clinical and Translational Research Training Program curriculum to an online format. He/she will meet regularly with faculty to review graduate level curriculum and convert existing curriculum for distance learning. He/she will develop and manage distance education courses within the CTR training programs, develop and maintain web pages for the distance education program, coordinate and collaborate with College of Medicine and other University of Cincinnati offices relevant to distance education and budget planning, work with faculty to develop syllabi and course materials for distance learning courses, and coordinate technological aspects of the distance education program with existing departmental information technology support staff. He/she will also help to manage the Health Research On Demand portal, including creating and posting modules unique from existing course modules, facilitating user registration, trouble:shooting technical issues, and identifying new areas of training need. He/she will work within the MSCTR program offices to ensure high quality management and oversight.
Responsibilities for this position may include:

Developing and managing distance education courses within the CCTR program;
:
Developing and maintaining web pages for the distance education program;
:
Coordinating and collaborating with College of Medicine and other University of Cincinnati offices relevant to distance education and budget planning;
:
Working with faculty to develop syllabi and course materials for distance learning courses;

Coordinating technological aspects of the distance education program with existing departmental information technology support staff; and
:
Assisting with management of the Health Research On Demand training system.

Other departmental duties as assigned
Minimum qualifications:
:
Bachelors degree with three (3) years' experience; :OR: Associates degree with five (5) years' experience; :OR: seven (7) years' experience.
:
Knowledge of Blackboard, the Windows operating system, web browsers, and the internet.
Preferred qualifications:
:
A master's degree in a related field and knowledge of the clinical research field and curriculum.
