This role serves as the first point of contact for their assigned Business Unit management team. The Specialist partners with HR Management and various functional areas to ensure programs and strategies are implemented and sustained within their Business Unit. The Specialist works closely with the Business Unit management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Provide HR policy, Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), Work Rules guidance and interpretation to BU Management and employeesSupport functional areas of HR including, but not limited to: Recruitment, Onboarding, Benefits, Training and Development, Employee and Labor Relations.Understand and support plant business conditionsAttend plant communication meetings, quarterly business unit meetings, production and shift meetingsProactively identify and communicate plant management and employee issues and concerns to HR Management in a timely mannerFacilitate communication between plant and HR ManagementSupport EH and S initiatives, attend plant safety meetings, plant walk:throughs, understand and raise safety issues and concernsAssist supervisors with Time on Demand to meet Payroll deadlinesFacilitate New Hire OrientationAssist with special projects and other assignments as neededRequired Education and Experience: Undergraduate degree from an accredited university or college preferredMinimum 3, preferably 5 years of HR experience a manufacturing environment; union experience a plusStrong knowledge, understanding and application of labor and employment laws and practicesStrong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to partner and build relationships with managers and employeesAbility to manage and maintain strict confidentialityAbility to organize and manage multiple task assignments at the same time Preferred Education and Experience: HR Certification (SHRM:CP or PHR) Mubea offers a comprehensive benefits package to include:: On:sight medical facility for all employees and dependents: 401(K): PTO: Tuition Reimbursement LI:KB1
