The University of Cincinnati is currently accepting applications for an Associate Director, Career Development and Placement. The position is responsible for contributing to the mission and goals of the Career Development Center (CDC) through the management of the On:Campus Recruiting Program, Career Fair Program, and Employer Outreach/Job Development strategies.
:Represents CDC at Divisional Meetings and University Committees as assigned.
: Leads Employer Outreach/Job Development strategies cultivating the establishment of new employers in a broad range of industries to develop domestic and international opportunities;
:Oversee the direction of all aspects of the On:Campus Recruiting and Career Fair programs for students and employers including the policies governing recruiters and students who participate; Secures new and on:going sponsorships for successfully established programs and services;
: Coordination of the collection, analysis, and reporting of data concerning recruiting activities, employer surveys, senior placement questionnaire, etc.; collects monthly, quarterly, and annual data for CDC year to year accomplishments, comparative analysis and identification of emerging trends, creates CDCs comprehensive annual Management Information Report.
:Serves as CDCs Liaison to the College of Engineering, teaching 1:2 sections of CDCs Professional Development Courses; handles all curriculum matters; maintains confidential student records related to course and advises students in course.
:Oversees department technology and upgrades. Review new software and hardware to recommend new technologies to enhance CDC operations.
Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree preferred with 5 years experience. Bachelor's degree with seven (7) years experience; : OR : Associate's degree with nine (9) years experience; OR : eleven (11) years experience. Degree must be in counseling or a related field. Experience must include administrative and counseling in career planning and/or placement. Experience may also require at least 2 years supervision.
The successful candidate will have experience in campus recruiting, college relations and employer development. Must possess the capacity for effective collaboration and communication with students, employers, and administrators and demonstrate ability to work independently and as a contributing team member. Experience with information technology, team building, project management and handling multiple priorities is needed. Exceptional communication skills, initiative, sound judgment, and flexibility are essential.
