The Design For Manufacturing (DFM) Manager's primary responsibility is to deliver "Design Intent" for product graphics, signals and color through to Final Art for each initiative. The DFM will establish or optimize processes and standards in order to drive scale, quality and efficiency. The DFM will also integrate emerging technologies identified by his/her internal technical partners in order to bring together print and material innovation with Design strategy. In total this will support the Brand's goal to deliver a competitive advantage and consumer delight via best-in-class print quality, efficiency and scale. Job Responsibilities Include: - Translation of Design's conceptual strategies into design targets and requirements for manufacture-ready components. - Strong Problem Solving - Ability to be able to look at the big picture, integrate knowledge and be able to penetrate all the details. - Using Empathy and Non Linear Thinking - Ability to uniquely ideate to solutions. Accept and add mentality. - Exceptional Collaboration - Ability to work with global multi-functional teams. - Requires the ability to concisely work with and share relevant information to varied audiences. - Individual must be able to develop strong partnerships with technical, product supply and engineering team members. To learn more about this career path, click here. - Requires a thorough knowledge of all aspects of print production. - Strong Leadership - Ability to lead/influence others across functional, organizational, and hierarchical boundaries. - Develops advanced level of knowledge of layout, type, and color and is able to take instructions from creative or art director or DFM • Agility - Ability to be flexible and open minded in shifting needs, changes in scope, and in business strategy. - Superior design and execution - ability to develop Design intent and drive into excellence in product execution. Motivate and inspire others to join in Design intent. - Proficient in Adobe Creative Suites. - Strong communications skills to communicate effectively with Design, Brand, Marketing and print technologist. - Project management and organizational skills. - Experience in printing to diagnose, communicate and creatively solve for problems in text, graphics and color. - Management of projects through a schedule timeline and process flow. Preferred: - Technical training in Prepress and Digital field. - Experience with Esko PackEdge or ArtPro.
