Mechanical Engineer needed in the Greater Cincinnati area. My client is a custom machine builder working in food, beverage, pharmaceutical and personal care industries. We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer that can execute all technical aspects of an order to achieve functionality, quality, cost, and schedule.
Responsibilities for the Mechanical Design Engineer
Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.
Accountable for achieving all assigned engineering tasks and objectives within the established strategy, ensures functionality while meeting specifications.
Responsible for engineering design reviews, ensuring fit, function and accuracy of engineering.
Keeps project team informed on status of assigned projects and notifies them immediately when desired outcomes cannot be met.
Is accountable for assigned engineering aspects of a project or order through commissioning and installation, ensuring timely completion and appropriate documentation.
Follows-up with other functional departments on project tasks assigned to him or those who he/she supervises to ensure critical job or project items are completed with the needed timelines.
Requirements for the Mechanical Design Engineer
Requires a B. S. in related engineering discipline or experience equivalent required.
Experience designing capital equipment preferably in the packaging industry.
End of arm robotic tooling experience a plus.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solid Edge or Solid Works
