Position Summary:
The primary job function will be to understand client requirements leveraging domain knowledge and experience to help implement and enhance Deposit module & Teller application of TCS BaNCS Core banking solution.
The Analyst should possess good techno-functional knowledge in the areas of – Deposits including DDA, Checking accounts, Savings Accounts, IRA, Time Deposits and CDs, Overdraft protection, Credit Reserve lines. Possess knowledge of end to end understanding of the business process, Life cycle events and regulatory requirements for deposits. Previous hands-on experience in implementing core banking solutions is desirable. Teller platform techno-functional knowledge is a plus.
Ability to travel for extended period of time to the project locations or relocate in case of longer duration.
Primary Responsibilities:
Participate in gathering and understanding business requirements for implementing TCS BaNCS Core Banking Solution for Banks in US.
Document the requirements in the agreed templates leveraging market experience.
Support the design/development teams to transform the business requirements into functional specifications and manage changes to such specifications.
Help develop Product documentation and Training documentation (User manuals, quick-reference guides, best-practices, etc.).
Participate in solution analysis phase of product development, Product walkthrough, Gap - analysis/impact analysis activities as required. Track and document requirements/findings.
Participate in Solution alignment phase by guiding the development teams to build the functionalities covered in deposits and teller application
Support the testing teams in the preparation of use cases/test scenarios
Key Activities:
Participate in Solution Analysis phase of TCS BaNCS core banking implementation
Participate in planning and effort estimation for enhancing specific Deposit modules and teller application for US Market Readiness leveraging prior product experience.
Write detailed business and functional requirements in a concise and clear manner to effectively size effort and design technical specifications based on documented needs.
Ability to decompose use cases to appropriate level of detail.
Support project managers and solution managers on various implementation projects.
Adhere to quality assurance with creation and execution of acceptance tests as needed.
Background & Experience:
Minimum 8+ years US Financial Services Industry experience in Deposits and Teller application.
Experience working with a US product vendor and/or in implementation of US banking solutions for Deposits such as Hogan, FIS Systematics will be preferable
Strong understanding of Deposits products, Teller processes and best practices in this segment of business, specific to US Banking.
Good understanding of the US market, requirements and trends to maintain the Deposits module, Teller application current and compliant.
Experience with product development and Implementation processes and methodologies.
Ability to understand and interpret business and functional requirements to level of detail.
Ability to stay focused through complexity, ambiguity adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment.
Good oral and written communication skills with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
